VANCE & HINES Sideshots on 2006 Sportster?? Difficult install?

I put these pipes on today, and had one hell of a time getting the pipes to attach at the heads, mainly because they are welded together at the "power chamber." Is ther some trick to doing this? I'd hate to think I have to go through such torture in the future, if the pipes have to be removed for any reason. I had a hard time getting the pipes on as one unit, clearing the cooling fins on both sides simultaneously. Thanks all answers.|||Listen,... the V%26amp;H pipes are fine. They're not my speed but I'm quite sure you will get what you are looking for out of them. Unless you have some major problem which IS highly unlikely, these pipes should not ever need to come off. You will get your money's worth.

Do not give one ounce of credence to any of the poster's whose avatars rhyme with fart. It is one in the same person and thumbs his nose at yahoo. He does not ride or even have a bike. He has absolutely no expertise in any discipline of motorcycling. He jumps at the chance to harass, confound, contravene, and expostulate any issue concerning Harley Davidson and their riders. He cannot pass up the chance to wail, whimper, whine, yammer, %26amp; b*tch about HD. He has proven himself to have mental problems of unknown origin. he holds no credibility in this community or any other.|||my buddy just got 09 nightster and asked if i could help him put them on but by the time i got over his house he was done i asked him if he had any problems and he said it was a piece of cake and they fit right up.maybe yours were just a little but off.as long as you have them on your bike and they dont leak you should be all right. it took him less than a hour and they do sound nice|||V%26amp;H or great pipes don't worry about that guy he is just jealous he doesn't havea bike. There not difficult to install takes about 30 minutes, you should use Joint "Sockets, Ratchets" that will make your installs "cleaning" a little easier.
