Remove the baffle from the muffler.
Clean off old packing.
Wrap the baffle with a new sheet of fiberglass packing.

Re-install the baffle.|||There is a fiber glass fabric to re-pack ' glass pack ' type mufflers .
It's available at pretty much any auto parts store.|||There is a sheet of fiberglass mat that wraps around the steel baffle.Then you slide the baffle back inside the pipe.|||Replace the fiberglass sound deadening material inside the muffler.
