How much should I expect to pay to have new exhaust put on my motorcycle?

I just purchased the part, Vance and Hines Cruzer exhaust system, to replace the stock exhaust on my motorcycle. I am thinking of putting them on myself but not sure now if I should have a motorcycle shop do it for me. If a shop does it, what can I expect for the labor costs? I already have the part so just the labor. How much should I expect to pay to have new exhaust put on my motorcycle?
You'll have to ask the shop about their labor rates, but replacing a factory exhaust with an aftermarket system is relatively easy to do and shouldn't take more than a few hours. If you have all the proper tools, you could do it yourself in one afternoon. How much should I expect to pay to have new exhaust put on my motorcycle?
Shop labor rates are 60 an hour or more, depending on the shop. If it's just a slip on, I can't imagine it would take more than an hour. If you have a sport bike with lots of body work and a full exhaust and you are getting a fuel injection map update (recommended) then it could be several hours for them to get everything done.

If you have a bike with carbs, you are likely going to have to do some jetting changes to get the bike to run right. That could be several hours too, depending on the bike and the skill of the tech. How much should I expect to pay to have new exhaust put on my motorcycle?
You need to figure out if they are going to re-jet for a carb or install fuel possessor Fuel Injection. Most pipes with less back pressure would cause an over lean condition and a hotter running motor. But I would see what vance and hines recommends on there web site. For as Chip or jet and do it yourself shop would run from 150-300 rough estimate. But a little quality time getting to learn your bike priceless
