How to make a 2007 1200 sportster custom faster?

I have a 2007 1200C and I want to make it faster. Money really is not an issue but I want to make sure it is done right so I don't screw up my bike! I already have stage 1 carb kit with vance and hines straight shots. Just wondering if you all had any ideas! ThanksHow to make a 2007 1200 sportster custom faster?
Drop a CBR 1000RR motor into it.

Get rid of the straight shots And get a good 2into1 system like Supertrapp or Thunderheader,Then get the heads ported and polished and change the cams.Ask any reputable shop or call NHRS
Sell it and get a V-Rod. If that's too slow, buy Japanese. How to make a 2007 1200 sportster custom faster?
First off....if your bike is an 07, you don't have a stage 1 carb kit, the bike is fuel injected, ALL Harleys became injected in 07

Like the other guy said, get rid of the straight shots, very poor performers, only good for looks and sound. The Thunderheader is a good choice, but expensive when you add the separate heat shields. The next best pipe to run, and much cheaper would be the V%26amp;H Black Out 2-into-1... http://www.dragspecialties.com/product/g鈥?/a>

....or....unfortnately no pic available, almost the the same as the V%26amp;V Pro-Pipe 2-into-1 which V%26amp;V doesn't make for the Sporty, go to any bike shop and look in the Drag Specialties catalog.... http://www.dragspecialties.com/part/getI鈥?/a>

A high-flow air cleaner is a must. Screamin Eagle a/c is ok, better is the Arlen Ness Big Sucker.

Once an air cleaner and exhaust are installed, injection tuning is a must!!!!!! The bikes run too lean as stock from the factory, add more air in and out, and it's even leaner, less power and running too hot. Harley's stage 1 download is crap, the BEST injection tuner on the market for Harleys is the Screamin Eagle Super Tuner, 100% fully tuneable for al injection and igniton settings. DO NOT use a Power Cammander!!!! All they do is control fuel only, no ignition timing adjusttments can be done. The PC's also require mounting a big box and wire harness to the bike which is very difficult given the limited space. THe SE Super Tuner is only an interface that reprorams the stock ecm, once tuned, it is removed and stored in a SAFE place...DO NOT LOSE IT!!!

Next step is to add cams, pistons and heads.

Red Shift cams from Zipper's Performance are the best on the market, period, but they are expensive. Cam choice wll depend on the heads used and type of riding you do. Andrews cams has a good selection depending on the engine and riding style.

Heads, relativley inexpensive and GOOD performers are Screamin Eagle Perf heads from Harley, mate them with stock flat top pistons for 10.5:1 compression or the Screamin Eagle forged Hi-comp pistons for 11.3:1.

One easy mod you can do with no tuning work, if you don't mind losing 10mph off the top end speed, but want the bike to pull harder from an increase in torque is to install a front belt pully from an 883. The 883's use a 2 tooth smaller front pulley to increase the torque of the weaker, smaller engine. The bike will run at about 400 rpm higher in all gears and speeds, this increase in rpm will also put you in the beginning of the power band on a good set cams.
