Which would give a more "Harley-like" sound for a V Star 650, the Cruzers, or the Short-Shots Staggered?

Both of them are from Vance %26amp; Hines, so I guess both are of good enough quality; however, if what one is looking for is not just loud noise from a motorcycle (in that case, just remove your baffles and there you go), but a deep sound that resembles a large engine cruiser, which one would suit best? Also, is there any difference between them regarding whether or not re-jetting is necessary?Which would give a more "Harley-like" sound for a V Star 650, the Cruzers, or the Short-Shots Staggered?
Aldo,

Like you I find the sound of the HD engine pleasant but there is something you need to know. That low rumble comes from two things, large displacement and a single pin crank that fires every 315-405 degrees. The V star is a smaller displacement and has a 90 degree [if memory serves] crank. Those pipes will only serve to create a farm implement like noise even at low decibels. I hear these bikes all the time and the exhaust note is...well. not good. Better you look at a Super Trapp system for some muted but throaty motor music.Which would give a more "Harley-like" sound for a V Star 650, the Cruzers, or the Short-Shots Staggered?
Stick with the Yamaahaha sound.Which would give a more "Harley-like" sound for a V Star 650, the Cruzers, or the Short-Shots Staggered?
The Harley sound is actually patented by Harley Davidson.

So you won't find anything that will make your bike sound just like a Harley.

Either of your choices will make your bike loud. However it won't sound like a Harley.
