Just bought vance and hines longshots and they are a little loud. How can I quiet them down. Baffle options?

My bike is a honda vt1100c2 and I need to quiet my vance and hines longshots down. Does anyone know if I can buy a baffle that will quiet my exhaust down and make it sound deeper like a harley.|||they sell quiet baffles, Q series i think they're called. for the harleys anyway, so i assume they would for the metric pipes. and sorry, but the only way to make it sound like a harley is to get a harley.|||paying attention here import lovers that bash harley?

here's another one that wants a japanese bike to be like a harley...

you can't make a japanese bike into anything close to a harley. a harley engine has a common crank throw, so both rods/pistons travel round and round at the same time. japanese have separate crank throws on their v-twins. won't ever sound the same regardless of how many bolt ons you try.

now a more direct answer, you can buy beer can baffles for almost any sized pipe diameter. ebay is where they seem cheapest|||Baffles can be bought in different lengths. A longer baffle will muffle the sound more.

Also, To help quite down more, you can wrap the outside of the baffle, before inserting into pipe with something like this:

NO, you can not make that Honda sound like a Harley no matter what you do... maybe stick a Harley motor on that frame.. and why did you buy exhaust not knowing how it sounded.. You'll probably have to spend more money and get something else or if the pipes have a baffle take it out and add more packing. maybe steal wool would work|||If you wanted it sound like a Harley , you should have bought one.|||Your best bet would be to contact Vance and Hines. Remember that you'll probably need to re-jet your carbs when you mess with your exhaust.|||contact vance / hines or the shop where you bought it from or just ask your local exhaust shops.....
