Install vance and hines pipes for sportster?

When you buy Vance and Hines pipes do you have to install them yourself? or do V%26amp;H install them for you? Theres a a V%26amp;H headquarters a couple of miles away from my house i just wondering if they sell and put them on right there! thanks...i live in LA and the headquarters is in Santa Fe Springs, CA thanks|||Many shops do offer installation for a fee, but remember, if you change those pipes you have to make some other changes too. Adding the pipes make the engine run leaner, which means more heat. It can also make the bike run worse. You will end up installing a higher volume air cleaner system ( like the HD Stage 1 kit, ot V%26amp;H offers a couple of models) THEN you have to change the air fuel mix. You don't say what year sporty so I don't know if you have a carbed or FI. Carbed just means you have to change the jets, FI means you have to change the computer settings. Luckily V%26amp;H has a nice system called the "fuel pak" that is a plug in unit. Then you go to V%26amp;H website (or ask them if you are there) tell them what exhaust you installed, what intake and they give you the codes to enter into the fuel pak, and you're good to go. If you use the HD "race tuner" it is more money, plus you need to dyno the bike to get it set right. there is a little more to it than that, but that's it in a simple explanation. But the answer is different if you are going to (later on) change cams or anything, then you have to use something besides the V%26amp;H fuel pak.|||i live in north hollywood. i know the shop you are talking about. ether you can put the pipes on yourself or they will do it for you.

i am not sure how much they will charge for that. call them and ask.
