I'm trying to remove the baffles from my vance & hines 4 inch slip on mufflers. Is it a complicated task to ta

It's on a 2007 Harley Rd King FLHR|||Remove the 1-4 bolts.

Sometimes they're in the tubing pretty tight.

If so I make a hook out of heavy coat hanger or welding rod, hook it through the baffle, fasten the wire to something secure and pull on the pipe.

In effect, pulling the pipe off the baffle rather than trying to pull the baffle out of the pipe.

Additionally, if you are going to run uncorked,the loss of back pressure is going to cause a lean condition and a need to adjust your fuel/air ratio to prevent over heating.|||should only be a couple of screws. look at the end

of the pipes. i have removable baffles on my python

pipe.|||depends how long they've been in already... if they're fairly new... should come right out once you remove the screws.... if they're old, the screws will be tough to get out, and the baffles won't slip out very easily either
